Low Maintenance - Easy to Clean

This style of playsystem is low maintenance and easy to clean
Designed specifically to reduce maintenance and cleaning costs

Non-grid format = ease of cleaning and maintenance
Little to no post foam
Internal and external cleaning: simply wipe/vacuum dust build-up

Recommended Daily and Weekly Cleaning

Wipe interior and exterior of the structure and activities with a soft damp cloth
Check for food or litter debris to be removed
Vacuum and/or sweep flooring
Conduct equipment inspection - complete any required corrective actions to keep the structure in optimum condition

Recommended Monthly Cleaning

Wipe interior and exterior of the structure and activities with a soft damp cloth
Armor All® exterior of the unit
Check for food or litter debris to be removed
Post padding wipe and/or steam clean
Vacuum and/or sweep flooring or steam clean
Conduct equipment inspection - complete any required corrective actions to keep the structure in optimum condition

Framework

Poly Exterior - wipe with a soft damp cloth and/or vacuum
PVC Coated Mesh - wipe and/or vacuum
Activities located on the exterior of the framework, eg. activity panels - wipe clean
Suggested cleaning Agents: Windex®, Fantastik®, De-Greaser agent for removal of deep stains, Simple Green® for food debris/ graffiti/ stain build-up, Armor All® - Exterior Use ONLY - provides shine to the plastic

Interior

Poly interior - smooth rounded corners wipe clean and/or vacuum easily
Activities - wipe and/or vacuum
Suggested cleaning Agents: Windex®, Fantastik®, De-Greaser agent for removal of deep stains, Simple Green® for food debris/ graffiti/ stain build-up

Post Foam

Tough Skin Post Padding has a semi pliable shell which protects it from deterioration and vandalism
Clean by wiping and/or steam cleaning

Safety Surfacing

Safety surfacing porosity and texture result in a surface with properties that are very similar to regular carpet. Therefore, maintenance of a carpet and of safety surfacing are virtually identical
Sweeping - Sweeping the surface with a stiff bristle broom will be the most common method of keeping the surface clean. However, because of the porosity and granular texture of the surface, it is difficult to remove contaminants by sweeping alone
Vacuum - A vacuum will provide similar results as when used on carpet
Damp Mop - You can clean with a damp mop NOT a wet mop
Water Hose - Use a water hose with a pressure spray tip to remove contaminants from porous top surface. However, if performed the safety surfacing should be removed, cleaning and allowed to completely dry before reinstalling

Damage to Play Structure - Incorrectly fitted replacement parts could cause injury or an accident. If an part of the unit becomes damaged, notify Management and/or your Playground Installer. Use only approved SPI replacement parts for your playsystem. Contact SPI for replacement parts and maintenance.
